Houston Groove status

Hi everybody. Well, after some downtime for the site thanks to some host screw ups, I'm (partially) back up. I'll slowly be bringing the rest of the site back online as I get it done. Good news: I got the motivation to go through with the redesign. Bad news: the idiot hosts lost most of my old site. I had a lot of it backed up locally. But the message board and associated databases are gone. Anyway, Let me know what you think of the new site.

So what did happen?

Read on for my gripe about how my hosts hosed my site.

I was with a hosting service by the name of BlueBox Internet. The were pretty good for over a year. Then this past month I noticed that I couldn't access my site. Well, BlueBox sold my account to AndHosting.com and didn't transfer any of my files over to the new host. The transferal of my account was totally without my foreknowledge. So then I emailed andHosting about getting some of my files/databases from BlueBox. After 3 weeks, multiple emails and phone calls, and no action on the part of andHosting, I just decided to start over with a new host called OnSmart.net. Here's hoping they are better.
